Yesterday took place the departure, from Port Fòrum, of the 23 minis participating in the Solo Med 2023 700 miles solo race. The boats set sail from the Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC) at 09:30h, when the towing began.
The participating minis represent eight different countries with a large French and Spanish representation. Most of the sailors are preparing to participate in the Mini Transat, a solo race that crosses the Atlantic without assistance or contact with land.
New this year, the Barcelona International Sailing Center (BISC), located in Port Fòrum, was the starting and finishing venue for the regatta, where the sailors were able to moor their boats and use the facilities.
If the routing is confirmed, the first could be at the arrival of Sa Rapita tonight. The race can be followed in real time through the regatta website.
