Hand in hand with nature
At Port Fòrum we work for a sustainable port model that coexists in balance with its environment. From innovative infrastructure solutions to the installation of biomimetic reefs, we promote sustainable projects in the sea that generate a real and lasting impact, putting the well-being of the Mediterranean marine environment first.
Thanks to our partnership with Ocean Ecostructures, we have installed 10 biomimetic regeneration units in the Green Dock to restore the port’s marine ecosystem. These structures increase biodiversity, biomass, and CO₂ sequestration, contributing to marine conservation and helping to restore the natural balance of the Mediterranean.
In 2025 we have been able to observe a 118% increase in species richness, 368% increase in biomass and 368% higher CO₂ fixation.
At the same time, we are also promoting research and development activities to continue refining the technology that will enable large-scale marine regeneration in ports, marinas and offshore infrastructure.

We collaborate with organizations such as the Ecomar Foundation on their initiatives to promote marine environmental education and raise awareness among various groups. In 2025, we hosted five activities at Port Fòrum with 232 volunteers, during which 328 kg of waste were collected.
At Port Fòrum, we aspire to be a driving force for change in the Mediterranean Sea, promoting port sustainability through innovative and environmentally responsible development. Our commitment goes beyond functionality: we seek to make a positive impact that inspires both the community and seafarers.
We support pioneering projects such as Dhamma Blue’s first Spanish hydrogen-powered ship and promote sustainable energy initiatives with 24 charging stations for electric vehicles in collaboration with e-totem.

The Sustainability Classroom is a lively and participatory space in which to learn, reflect and act. An interactive experience open to all, which brings our environmental initiatives closer to the community and promotes a more conscious link with the sea and the environment.
