Port Fòrum is excited to announce the start of our collaboration with Ocean Ecostructures, part of the development of our new Green Dock project.
This action consists of the installation of 10 Life Boosting Bioregeneration Units (LBU), structures that replicate the functioning of a natural reef, multiplying up to x6 the number of species.
The monitoring will be carried out with underwater drones (ROV) for the evolution of each unit every three months, making dives with divers to measure key parameters such as the number and type of species, CO2 fixation, biomass and water quality (turbidity, chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen, among others).
This project reaffirms our ESG agenda, committed to sustainability and the preservation of our marine ecosystems, and we look forward to seeing the amazing results of this collaboration!
